Mallory Parker and Dane Montgomery were united in marriage on Sunday, May 10, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church in Blue Springs, MO. Officiating at the ceremony was Rev. David Hackett, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Grain Valley, MO.
Mallory is the daughter of Dan and Jana Parker of Blue Springs. She is the granddaughter of Joe Hawkins and the late Pat Hawkins of Baxter Springs, KS, and the late Hazel and Harris Parker of Grain Valley, MO. Dane is the son of Clark and Candy Montgomery, also of Blue Springs. His grandparents are Rollo and Alyce Clark of Webster, NY, and Charlene Montgomery and the late Charles Montgomery of Minong, WI.
Attendants for the couple were the maid of honor, Katie Evans, friend of the bride, and bridesmaids Janet Parker and McKenna Parker, sisters of the bride, and Valerie Naas and Jessica Endaya, friends of the bride. Flower girl was Lucy Parker, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Craig Wilcox, friend of the groom, and groomsmen were Reade Montgomery, brother of the groom, and David Struve, Justin West and Justin Whitman, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Charlie Parker, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Ashley Hawkins and Rachel Hawkins, cousins of the bride. Ushers were Simon Schupp, James Sorensen, Kevin Price and Chris Little, all friends of the groom. Guest book and program attendants were Nick Parker, cousin of the bride, and Ashton Parker, nephew of the bride.
Music during the ceremony was provided by a string quartet that included the bride's aunt, Allison Parker, and a brass quintet comprised of friends of the groom. Justin Whitman, soloist, sang "When You Say You Love Me", accompanied by Donna Price.
Following the ceremony, a buffet dinner/dance reception was hosted by the bride's parents at Vesper Hall in Blue Springs.
Mallory is a 2004 graduate of Blue Springs High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2008 from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO, with a major in interactive digital media. She is employed as a marketing assistant with Centralized Showing Services in Overland Park, KS.
Dane is also a 2004 graduate of Blue Springs High School, and received a bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State in 2008, with a major in computer science and a minor in music. He is employed as a system engineer with Cerner Corporation in Kansas City.
The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and is now living in Overland Park, KS. |
