Sophia Thompson and Jeremy Duffy to Wed

Sophia Thompson and Jeremy Duffy, both of Chicago, will be wed in a private ceremony in Rancho Cucamonga, California on August 8, 2009.

Parents of the couple are Sharmain Hamilton of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Michael and Elaine Duffy of Galesburg.

Sophia is a graduate of Rancho Cucamonga High School and received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California. Sophia also holds a master's degree in Special Education from California State University Dominguez Hills. She is currently earning a PhD in Clinical Psychology at DePaul University in Chicago.

Jeremy is a graduate of Galesburg High School and received a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also holds a master's degree in Education from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California and is currently in law school at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago.

The couple will be honeymooning in Bali, Indonesia.
