Julie Farugia and Jorge Gutierrez

Ms. Amy Shaw, of San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of Galesburg, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Julie Christine Farugia, to Jorge Manuel Gutierrez, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jorge Gutierrez, Sr., also of San Antonio. Ms. Farugia is also the daughter of Mr. John Farugia, of San Antonio, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Shaw and the late Dr. Robert Shaw, formerly of Galesburg, and Mrs. Angeline Farugia, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and the late Mr. John Farugia. Mr. Gutierrez is the grandson of Mrs. Mercedes Gutierrez, of San Antonio, and Romeo Gutierrez Vela, of Hebbronville, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Gilberto Guerra, Sr., of Hebbronville. The couple were both graduated from Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio. Ms. Farugia is a graduate of Bates College and attends the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. Her fiance is a graduate of Yale University, and attends Yale Law School in New Haven. The couple plans a 2010 wedding.
