Kat Mason and Shane McCreery to wed

Katheryn Dianne Mason and Michael Shane McCreery, both of Lincoln, will be wed in a private ceremony in Galesburg, Illinois on October 31, 2009. Parents of the couple are Brian and Lori Mason of Galesburg and Michael and Linda McCreery of Mason City.

Kat is a graduate of Galesburg High School and received a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University. She also holds a master's degree in Sport Management from Western Illinois University. Kat currently works in Academic Services in the Athletics Department at Illinois State University and is the head softball coach at Bloomington High School.

Shane is a graduate of Illini Central High School and received a bachelor's degree in English from Illinois College. He completed his juris doctorate at Ohio Northern University. Shane is the Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity, Ethics, and Access at Illinois State University.

The couple will be honeymooning in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
