Emily Marx and Michael McCarthy were married on November 28, 2008 at Saint Francis of Assisi in Springfield, PA. The couple were married by Michael's great uncle, Father John Harvey, who also married Michael's parents and grandparents.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Mendenhall Inn.

The bride is a graduate of Newark High School and Temple University. She received her master's degree from La Salle University and is employed by the Lower Merion School District in Narberth, PA as a middle school speech-language pathologist in autistic support.

The groom graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University in management science and information systems. Mike is employed by Oracle as a sales representative.

The couple reside in Springfield, PA.
