Jerry & Rita Hunter celebrated 45 years of marriage on December 24. They were married at St. Mary Catholic Church in 1964 and have lived in Independence all their married life.
Jerry is retired from Missouri Gas Energy and is an active member of the Lee's Summit Elks. Rita is retired from St. Mary Catholic Church, but works part time on special projects.
They have two daughters Mary Stoner (Ken) of Independence and Julie Worden (Brian) of Kansas City, and four grandchildren, Jamie, Josh, Burl and Amanda.
Jerry & Rita are very proud of their grandchildren and enjoy supporting and attending their activities and spending time with them. They also enjoy their friends, and visiting their lake house at Lake of the Ozarks.
