Cecilia Sanchez, of La Junta, CO entered into rest January 4, 2010 at the Pioneer Health Care Center in Rocky Ford, CO. She was born, November 6, 1916 in the Dawson, New Mexico area. She was 93 years of age.
She is survived by her children; Joe Thomas (Sanchez) of Pueblo, CO James David Sanchez of La Junta, grandchildren; James Keith (Christina) Sanchez of Arvada, CO. Steven Bryan Sanchez of Pueblo, CO, great grandchild Xavier Sanchez, Brothers; Simon Trujillo of Kansas City, Kansas, Louis Trujillo of Ogalla, NE., Ben Trujillo of La Junta, CO. Sister, Julia Trujillo of La Junta, and special friend, who cared for Mrs. Sanchez, Michelle Likes.
She is preceded in death by Husband Steve Sanchez brothers; Ernie, Albert and Adolf Sanchez
Cecilia's family was everything to her. She was very kind hearted she fed all the children in the neighborhood. The staff at the Pioneer Health Care Center would say,, when Cecilia smiled it lightened up the room. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Crossroads Church in Swink, CO. Pastor Mike Beechem will be officiating.
