Mrs. June Magruder dies at 88

June Geneva Magruder, 88, passed away on June 8, 2010 in Greeley.
She was born in Timpas to Clinton and Lula West. After living most of her life in La JUnta and Colorado Springs, she moved to Greeley five years ago and lived an independent and healthy life until her illness in April.
Mrs. Magruder was involved with the Senior Center book club, Creative Living Church book club, Merry Mixers Square Dance Club, and she received a climbing certification from the Greeley Recreation Department.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Beverly) Schwartz of Swink, Jonathan (Michelle) Schwartz of Eaton; daughter Donna (Tom) Schwartz Roberts of Greeley; grandchildren, Laurel Benz, Jeremy Schwartz, Nathan Schwartz and Mikayla Schwartz; brothers, Bob West of Oakland, Calif., and Stan (Midge) West of Martinez, Calif.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Leo Schwartz in 1970, after 27 years of marriage, Hank Siefken in 1978, after six years of marriage, and Alfred Magruder in 1998, after nine years of marriage; brother, Kenneth West and sister, Betty West.
A memorial service will be conducted on June 21, 2010 at 5 p.m. at Creative Living Church, 929 15th St. in Greeley.
