Lonnie A. Milburn

Arthur Milburn, of La Junta, entered into rest, July 9, 2010. He was born October 16, 1936 in Englewood, CO. He was 73 years of age. Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Laloni (Ron) Johnson of Monument, CO, son, Michael Milburn and his life partner Johnathan Ehmann of Denver. Sisters, Carol Thompson of Swink, CO and Doris Powell of Walden ,CO. Grandchildren; Cori (Justin Kemp) Johnson, Athantasy and Brant Johnson. Great-grandchildren; Dustin and Kaleb Kemp. Several Nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife Audrey Milburn, parents, Arthur Milburn and Modest Lane and brother, Donald Milburn
Lonnie served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver and diesel mechanic for several years and he enjoyed working at La Junta Livestock. He also enjoyed; bowling, playing cards with Sam and Donna Carter, Hanging out with his buddy, Jim Chaney, having coffee in Rocky Ford with his friends and eating pancakes at the Copper Kitchen in La Junta. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held, 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 12, 2010 at Johnson-Romero Funeral Home in La Junta. Burial will follow at Fort Lyon National Cemetery in Las Animas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson-Romero Family Funeral Home.
