Ellen L. Goodwin, 79, of La Junta, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at her daughter's home. Ellen was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on December 22, 1930 to James Fred & Mary Belle (Ingle) Hodge. She married Troy Goodwin on December 5, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico; he preceded her in death on April 23, 1993.
Ellen was a avid artist that loved to share her art with her grandchildren. She loved and cherished her daughters. She loved to camp, and spending time with her family. She will be missed but never forgotten by those that loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Wood, Judy (Jack) Wiseman, and Toni (Robert) Lucero; sister, Lila Hurd; grandchildren, Michael (Rhonda) Goodwin, Selina (Shawn) Foley, Shirley (Mark) Montanez, Jennifer Thomas, Buster (Debbie) Thomas, Brandi (Justin) Crosson, Sebrina Lucero, and Breckley Wood; numerous great-grandchildren and several great, great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Mary Hodge; husband, Troy Goodwin; and siblings.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., at Peacock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ron Skorick officiating of the First Christian Church. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
