Autumn Leigh Faulkner and John Kenneth Childs were united in marriage Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna. The afternoon wedding was performed by Reverend David Humphrey. The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Tammy Faulkner of Clayton. She is also the granddaughter of Alvie & Fran LaFon, of Smyrna and Marie Faulkner, of Clayton.

The groom is the son of John and Anne Childs of Smyrna. He is also the grandson of Henrietta Dusza, of Smyrna.

Matron of honor was Lois Ribolla, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Whitney Snow, Nicole Brittingham and Kristin Gray, friends of the bride, Melissa Childs, sister of the groom and Bianca LaFon, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Taylor Brittingham, friend of the bride. The reader was Jaime Hurlock, friend of the bride. The attendants were Abby Hurlock and Brittany Whalen, friends of the bride.

Best man was Jonathan Snow, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Clayton Childs, cousin of the groom, Sam Brittingham, Darryl Scuse and Nick Jamal, friends of the groom and Travis Warren, brother of the bride. Ring bearers were Sammy Brittingham and Garrett Hudson, friends of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College and Wilmington College where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently employed as a teacher at Bayhealth Child Development Center, Dover.

The groom is a graduate of Pennco Technical Institute. He is employed as a marine technician at Rudy's Marine, Wilmington.

A reception was held at the Clayton Fire Company Banquet Hall. After a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Smyrna.
