76, of Hockessin and S. Bethany, DE died at the Christiana Hospital on Thursday May 21, 2009.

Mrs. Haller was the former Joyce Harper, a native of New Orleans, LA where she attended Sacred Heart Academy and graduated from Sophie Wright,, Class of 1952. Mrs. Haller was employed by Ochsner Clinic in the X-ray department. A homemaker, she enjoyed tennis, gardening, decorating, line dancing and reading. She was a member of "Sages" of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Hockessin, as well as Mid-County and Fraim senior centers.

Mrs. Haller is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ted F. Haller; daughter Penny Covelli and her husband Larry of Wilmington; a son Steve Haller and his wife Dawn of Hockessin; three grandchildren, Wade, Kyle and Ashley; 2 brothers, Bill Harper of Baton Rouge, LA and Joseph Harper of Carriere, LA; 3 sisters, Helen Ruth Breda of Beaumont, TX, Virginia Gardiner and Nathalie Craven of Acworth, GA. She is predeceased by sisters Betty Johnson and Claire Rive.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday May 28, 2009 at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Friday May 29, 2009 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Ashland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 100 W. 10th St. Wilmington, DE 19801.
